The sensors in Poland are recording around 3x those n western Europe, even its mot heavily industrialised regions like the Ruhr. The other black spot is of course is the Balkans. It can’t possibly be due to higher road traffic, so it must be coal burning.

Ukrainians bought more electric cars than all neighboring countries to Ukraine.
Ukraine has a very low level of CO2 emissions!
Despite this, emissions continue to decline.
Ukraine has reduced fossil fuel consumption by more than 50 percent in 30 years.
Also, about 70 percent of electricity production in Ukraine is clean energy. (hydro, nuclear, and green).
In energy policy, Ukraine is better than many EU countries.

Comment on Norway’s stunning climate hypocrisy by Dave https://energytransition.org/2018/10/norways-climate-hypocrisy/#comment-51059 Sat, 09 Jan 2021 11:07:23 +0000 https://energytransition.org/?p=18015#comment-51059 This article hits home a very important point, having lived in Norway for some years, the country has relied on oil since 1968, taxed it’s population very heavily 54.8%, car fuel is USD $2.50+
Norwegian people seem to be under the misconception that Norway is s green environmentally country.

Main industries include oil/gas, logging, engineering, all large polluters. Even though the oil is exported, most of it’s 2 million barrels per day, other countries use the Norwegian oil which produces 859,607,463 tons of Co2 per day! That’s a large amount of Co2 per year, 313.7 BILLION tons of Co2, just from oil.

If that’s not hypocrisy, what is?

It is fascinating to watch them go about it. This is day 3 and so far we have a lot of vertical pylons I will call them…. which I assume will have the panels installed on top…….because they look like that one you have in the photo. but they have put at least 30-40 of the vertical structures up .
